2001
Developed in Japan by Dr. Ryuta Kawashima and Kumon Institute of Education, field tested at Eijuan Nursing Homes.
2011
Eliza Jennings conducts first U.S. trial.
2013
Eliza Jennings receives license to distribute SAIDO across the U.S.
2014
First partner communities in the U.S. launch SAIDO.
2015
First SAIDO Learning Center opens at Eliza Jennings Renaissance Community.
2017
Good Shepherd Home becomes first Model Home community in the US, opens SAIDO Learning Center.
2018
Covenant Living acquires license to distribute SAIDO across the U.S.
2019
Waterford Place becomes a Model Home community.
2022
Grant provides funds for SAIDO Learning in Washington Senior Living Communities.
